Light-Speed Audio Processing On Indaba

We have some exciting news for all Indaba Music Members. Buckle up because we’re introducing – the Media Man.

Media Man works behind the scenes. He is an invisible audio processer who enables audio processing times to become 8 times faster than they used to be. Other good news are that you can upload music in pretty much any file format onto either your profile page or an opportunity. Remember how the little uploading icon kept spinning for minutes while you were uploading a track? Those times are over. Just have a look at these amazing stats:

  • The average mp3 now takes less than 8 seconds to process.
  • wav takes 10 seconds.
  • aiff takes 10 seconds.

And these are the file formats you can now upload on Indaba Music:

  • .wav (any bitrate, any sample rate, channel count, etc. no limitations anymore)
  • .mp3 (vbr, cbr, any bitrate, etc. no limitations anymore)
  • .aiff, .aif, .aiffc
  • .au / .snd
  • .flac
  • .mpg
  • .ogg

We are thrilled about Media Man, which is pushing all of us lightyears ahead. You’ll feel like a driver on the German Autobahn – devoid of speed limits.

Enjoy the speed!

Trevor, can you provide a link to your entry? Sounds like a bug we need to fix!

  5. Andrew says:

Never mind Trevor, I found your entry and fixed the problem. Sorry that happened. P.S. I love your track.

I have two files that have been processing as well. One for almost 24 hours! I think a poacher shot the cheetah.

  8. Timo says:

There has been some issues with uploading times. They probably happened due to some data transfers we had to carry out. At the same time, our dev team is looking into that. Don’t worry, it will all be straightened up.
