Musicians rejoice! More exciting news from team Indaba. First we released Media Man, a major development that makes uploading audio a whopping 8 times (!) faster, and now we bring you all new audio widgets to share your music far and wide across the internet. If you’re looking for exposure and to promote your music across the web, these widgets will be your new best friend.
Have a look at the Submission Audio Widget:
So, what’s new with these widgets?
Play Count: As you share your music, you’ll now be able to track the play count from the widget. Many Indaba members receive tens of thousands of plays of their contest submissions, and now you can see how your music is performing!
Profile Photo: All widgets also now include your picture, so everyone listening will now know and see WHO they are listening to.
Link to your music: And, of course, if someone wants to know more about who they’re listening to, the widgets now link to your music’s page on Indabamusic.com.
This is what the profile audio widget looks like:
Sharing your music via widgets is super simple. Want to share a piece of music on Facebook? Just grab the link from your browser and post it on your Facebook page – a widget should automatically appear. Or, anywhere on Indabamusic.com that you see the below module, we give you a few different options to share music on Facebook, Twitter, as well as anywhere else you want across the web!
We’re thrilled to bring you these new widgets. And this is only the beginning. We’ve been listening closely to your feedback and are hard at work on making Indaba rock your world. Stay tuned as we have some big announcements coming up throughout the rest of this year.
Happy sharing!

The player does not work with older versions of Adobe Flash, so not all my friends can listen.
Hey Modium, thank you for your comment. This only a very small number of people who have very out of date versions of flash. Maybe you should consider updating it!?
Best. Timo

iPad users may know that Apple do not provide Flash compatibility as standard on their mobile devices.
reason? clunky Flash player code apparently and eats up battery life and has stability and security issues.
users will need a browser capable of handling Flash media, fortunately there is one,
Photon flash video player and private web browser for iPad
developer: Appsverse Inc
Hello Timo…..great to hear about the new widget feature…..a very handy addition indeed!….but….I used it for sharing some of my tracks on FB…..and it seems not working?….people reported to me that they can’t actually play the tracks….I have the same experience….what could be a reason?
Btw, I’m using the Chrome browser and also have the latest Flash player installed.
Thanx in advance for your feedback!
Greetz, JJ
Usually I do not read post on blogs, but I wish to say that this write-up very forced me to take a
look at and do so! Your writing taste has been surprised
me. Thank you, very great post. projekty domów – TerazAlboNigdy2013zX
When I originally commented I seem to have clicked
on the -Notify me when new comments are added- checkbox and now
each time a comment is added I get 4 emails with the
exact same comment. There has to be a way you can remove me from that service?
Many thanks!
Wow that was odd. I just wrote an really long comment but after
I clicked submit my comment didn’t appear. Grrrr… well I’m not writing all that over again.
Anyhow, just wanted to say great blog!
Useful information. Lucky me I discovered your web site by chance, and I’m shocked why this coincidence did not took place earlier! I bookmarked it.
