Music’s been a part of my life for a very long time. If there’s such a thing as a skill-hoarding disorder – I have it. I started playing piano when I was 4 and the violin when I was 9. I loved both and took lessons for years. I was concert mistress of several string ensembles and orchestras growing up (including a fiddle group where I wore a cowboy hat). My dad and I used to build sound amplifiers and go to ham fests to check out vintage speakers and tubes. We spent a lot of nights in our basement listening to jazz records.

Some Fun Facts: I love knitting. My favorite non-musical sound: animals drinking water. I’m addicted to the Internet, like everyone else. I have a replica of the record player in the movie A Clockwork Orange. Continue reading

The Indaba loft is a creative place.  In every corner of the office staff members are recording music, filming artists, writing blog posts, developing product ideas… you get the picture.   Who knew “accessorizing” was on that list?  Certainly not me.  Little did anyone know that this morning the Indaba office was going to turn into “Molest-a-Vest Fest 2011″.  Continue Reading to see the damage.  Bird enthusiasts be warned.

P.S. This has nothing to do with music.
